Hanno Hardt

Professeur émérite en communication et journalisme à l'université d'Iowa (États-Unis), professeur d'études sur la communication à l'université de Ljubljana (Slovénie), Hanno Hardt est aussi photographe (de rue, documents sur la vie en communauté et paysages) publié dans journaux et magazines aux États-Unis, en Allemagne et Slovénie.

Hanno Hardt was educated in Germany and the United States. His professional career at the University of Iowa (USA) since the late 1960s was enhanced by regular guest professorships at universities in Germany, Austria, Ireland, and Yugoslavia. His creative and intellectual interests in the relationship between photography and historical evidence resulted in several long-term documentary projects in the United States (Iowa) and Europe (Slovenia, Croatia, Ireland, Germany). He currently lives and works in Slovenia as a professor of communication and media studies at the University of Ljubljana, while completing a book-length photographic project, The Slovenes.
