Sukran Ünal

Sükran Ünal is a lawyer with vast experience in variousfields of law. Upon graduation from Atilim UniversityFaculty of Law, she fulfilled the traineeship of the Bar Association in Turkey and became eligible to performas an attorney-at-law.She gained hands-on experience in leading law firms. Starting from the year 2014, she started to perform as ajudge; first as a trainee and then as a competent judge at Hozat Court House and the Cassation Court of Turkey.In 2021, she resigned from the judiciary and started running her own proprietorship inBelgium; SRT Legal Consultancy. Through SRT Legal Consultancy, she now provides a wide range of legal consultancy services to individuals, private companies, law firms and international organisations. At the same time, she contributes to seminars and workshops as a speaker or voluntary mentor, both on national and international platforms.Apart from her professional activities, she is passionate about human rights and has published articles on several topics in the field. This book is also a result of this passion, as well as the rich, thorough study at Ghent University.
